Rattlesnake 425 Repeater

The Rattlesnake 425 repeater is a high-profile mountaintop machine serving large portions of Centre, Clearfield, and neighboring counties.

Purpose:

The repeater is primarily intended for the real-time exchange of information about local and regional weather conditions by licensed amateur radio operators who serve as volunteer storm spotters under the NWS SKYWARN program.

The repeater has a VHF link to the W3ND SKYWARN repeater located at Ellendale Forge in Dauphin County, PA. The VHF link can be activated at times when severe weather events are anticipated to facilitate the exchange of information among weather spotters and NWS personnel located at the State College and Harrisburg NWS offices.
